The customer and the user needs to experience, they are in contact with one company, when they use the solutions from Terma, even in the smallest details.
Even within specialised industries, users are demanding great, effective and value creating design. The traditional systems and user interfaces are on their way out, and new tendencies play a role for future users and consumers, who is grown up with I-phones, tables and great design. In relation with the launch of a new product and new digital solutions, Terma wanted a more user-friendly design direction. Terma is the biggest defense company in Denmark, and it is leading within radar and mission critical technologies.
Based on the digital direction, which is decided for Terma’s future products and solutions on mission critical systems for maritime use, Terma needed to develop new splash screen logo’s. These needs to ensure a consistency to the overall user interface direction developed in a close cooperation between Zimplifi & Terma.
PROCESS
In a close cooperation with product development and marketing, Little Studio and Zimplifi developed the future direction and expression for splash icons. Based on the overall design direction, three different concepts were developed both in style, expression and form due to future splash icons. The target was to create recognition and higher brand awareness across products and solutions.
The decision on the direction for the splash-icons was developed on some of the same principles, which the overall design was developed on. Based on the selected concept, guidelines was specified and described for the future development of style, form, selection of colors and font to be used on future splash icons.
