Kolding School of Design is placed in Denmark. The education offers Bachelor & Masters within Fashion, Textile, Industrial design & Communication design.
Kolding School of Design has a big challenge in getting the students into work, when they have finished their education. How can you create and support the students to get into the right jobs? and how to ensure designers are perceived as value adding for the companies recruiting them?
Zimplifi would like to help with this challenge.
PROCESS
Due to research and input from former students, existing employees from the school, and companies from the private and public sector, including trend research on foreign educational institutions, it was highlighted what was the challenges for the Designschool in Kolding to ensure job employment for future and existing designers. Based on idea development and workshops with students and employees, it was identified which user experience Design School Kolding, need to deliver and achieve across the education in the future, and which services need to be offered for different stakeholders.
RESULT:
The result of the project, was a vision for the future direction and targets for the educational institution and Career Lab. It was a catalogue of future offerings and services, of relevance for different target groups.
A structure and set – up for the Career Lab (offerings, competencies, structure) and a user journey overview, highlighting the main contact points of relevance for the target groups. The school continue the work of implementing the project with support from Zimplifi on coaching, change management and the ability to work across the different professional areas.’

“Zimplifi has been leading the development and now the implementation of the Career Lab at Kolding Design School. Zimplifi has managed the project very professionally and with an ability to combine the business oriented perspective with the creative part in the project.
The approach towards the project, where the students, companies and the employees has been the key and foundation for the result of the project.
